{"id":8977,"date":"2019-08-31T23:25:24","date_gmt":"2019-09-01T05:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/2toneroom.co\/?p=8977"},"modified":"2023-05-24T13:58:38","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T18:58:38","slug":"legendas-del-reggae-bob-andy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/2toneroom.net\/?p=8977","title":{"rendered":"Legendas del Reggae : Bob Andy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si bien la melod\u00eda, &#8220;Mucha Experiencia&#8221; se dio a conocer en espa\u00f1ol gracias a la banda argentina <strong>Los Pericos<\/strong> cuyo tema fue bien recibido con gran \u00e9xito; es realmente una composici\u00f3n original de <strong>Bob Andy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Andy<\/strong> Fue de los primeros compositores serios de reggae en est\u00e1 ocasi\u00f3n te vamos a rese\u00f1ar lo m\u00e1s destacado de su carrera musical una leyenda del reggae viviente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En la d\u00e9cada de los 60&#8217;s, cuando los mejores artistas del SKA y Rocksteady realizaban covers de temas exitosos de Soul, <strong>Bob Andy<\/strong> debuto con el tema, <em>&#8220;I\u2019ve Got to Go Back Home&#8221;<\/em>, su primer gran \u00e9xito que en su momento fue un grito de guerra para la repatriaci\u00f3n a \u00c1frica. Fundador del grupo de <strong>The Paragons<\/strong> (<em>junto a <strong>Garth &#8220;Tyrone&#8221; Evans<\/strong>, <strong>Junior Menz<\/strong>, &amp; <strong>Leroy Stamp<\/strong><\/em>) y en 1964 Stamp fue remplazado con <strong>John Holt<\/strong>. Andy dejo el trio antes de qu\u00e9 s\u00e9 convirtieran exitosos bajo el sello <em>Treasure Isle<\/em> del productor <strong>Duke Reid<\/strong>, pero <strong>Coxsone Dodd<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n le abri\u00f3 las puertas al <em>Studio One.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Andy<\/strong> escribi\u00f3 y cant\u00f3 canciones que est\u00e1n clasificadas entre las mejores del reggae. Incluyendo &#8220;Too Experienced&#8221;, &#8220;Unchained&#8221;, &#8220;My time&#8221;, &#8220;You Don&#8217;t Know&#8221;, &#8220;Desperate Lover&#8221; por mencionar algunas.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/JTDaaS3XVZw?controls=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El reconocimiento internacional se produjo cuando <strong>Bob y Marcia Griffiths<\/strong> grabaron &#8220;Young, Gifted and Black&#8221; de Nina Simone, que vendi\u00f3 medio mill\u00f3n de copias en el Reino Unido y Europa<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bob continu\u00f3 sus grabaciones en solitario; &#8220;You Don&#8217;t Know&#8221; y &#8220;Life&#8221; dos canciones de esa \u00e9poca que ocupan un lugar especial en los corazones de sus fan\u00e1ticos brit\u00e1nicos. Despu\u00e9s de que el d\u00fao se separ\u00f3 en 1974, <strong>Marcia<\/strong> se convirti\u00f3 en uno de los tres <strong>I threes<\/strong> de <strong>Bob Marley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Andy<\/strong> mostr\u00f3 un lado diferente de su talento al interpretar el papel principal en la pel\u00edcula de 1978, &#8220;<strong><em>Children of Babylon&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n de los primeros artistas jamaicanos en establecer su propia compa\u00f1\u00eda editorial, <strong>Andisongs<\/strong>, y de los principales impulsores en establecer una <em>Organizaci\u00f3n de Derechos de Autor del Caribe<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 1985, realiz\u00f3 una gira por Estados Unidos , apareci\u00f3 en el Festival de la Juventud en Mosc\u00fa adem\u00e1s encabez\u00f3 el primer <strong>Sunsplash<\/strong> de Reggae japon\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El \u00e1lbum retrospectivo fue lanzado en 1986 (1987 en Heartbeat \/ Rounder Records en Norteam\u00e9rica) con gran \u00e9xito de cr\u00edtica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Asumiendo una vez m\u00e1s su papel de pionero de la m\u00fasica jamaicana, <strong>Bob<\/strong> pas\u00f3 seis meses en Australia en 1989, realizando talleres y tocando con m\u00fasicos locales. Para 13 de diciembre del mismo a\u00f1o, se uni\u00f3 a otros artistas l\u00edderes del reggae en el astillero de <strong>Gdansk<\/strong> en Polonia en un concierto contra el <strong>apartheid<\/strong> <em>(El apartheid fue el sistema de segregaci\u00f3n racial en Sud\u00e1frica y Namibia<\/em>, <em>entonces parte de Sud\u00e1frica)<\/em>, patrocinado por <strong>Solidarity<\/strong> para celebrar el progreso de los movimientos de liberaci\u00f3n del mundo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El reconocimiento formal de las contribuciones musicales de <strong>Bob<\/strong> ha llegado de muchas fuentes; la revista <strong>Rockers honr\u00f3 a Bob<\/strong> con un premio <strong>Lifetime Achievement Award<\/strong> en Kingston en 1989, al igual que los <strong>Canadian Reggae Music Awards<\/strong> en Toronto en 1991. La canci\u00f3n de Bob &#8220;Fire Burning&#8221; recibi\u00f3 <strong>el Premio JAMI<\/strong> a la canci\u00f3n del a\u00f1o en 1991. En 1997 fue nombrado como una de las &#8220;Living Legends&#8221; (Leyendas Vivientes) de la m\u00fasica en los Premios Reggae \/ Soca en Miami y recibi\u00f3 el Premio <strong>Lifetime Achievement Award<\/strong> por el <strong>Festival del D\u00eda Bob Marley<\/strong> de 1999 en el sur de California. Recibi\u00f3 el Premio a la Excelencia del Primer Ministro en Jamaica en 2003.<\/p>\n<p>En 2006, el gobierno de Jamaica le otorg\u00f3 la Orden de Distinci\u00f3n por su contribuci\u00f3n a la m\u00fasica del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El 27 de marzo del 2020 Bob Andy fallecer\u00eda a causa del c\u00e1ncer a la edad de 75
